Subreport white space

I have looked long and hard for the solution to eliminate white space when a subreport is suppressed. I have tried playing with the subreport row properties, Visibility/Hidden , and I have tried playing with the Advanced Properties, (Static) and Tablix Member Properties, and I cannot for the life of me can get the main report to eliminate the white space when my subreport has no data.
HELP!!!!!!
Soooooo frustrating....Can someone PLEASE help.
