multiple Datasets & Multi Value Parameter Help

I have never multi value parameter so may be i am a bit lost.
I have a requirement where my user should be able to select one or all values for a parameter my main Dataset1 has a text query its not a proc and dataset2 is my multi value which i already have mapped to 2nd dataset
My question how can i get the company code paramter mapped to my dataset 1?
right now when i select one value from my MV parameter i still see all values in my resultset
