Installation error

  Hi,

  I am using windows7 64bit and am trying to install SQLServer express 2012(SQLEXPR_x86_ENU).

  But it is getting error message like

  "The Operating system on this computer does not meet minimum requirements for SQL Server 2012.For Windows vista or Windows Server 2008 oprating systems,Service pack2 or later is required.For Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2,Service pack1 or later is reuired."

  Please suggest me to which one is suitable for my system,

  The error message says the issue correctly:

  In order you to install SQL Server 2012 Exp on Windows 7, you have to first install service pack 1.

  Hi,

  I am using windows 7 32 Bit operating system,2Gb ram,core 2duo processor.I installed microsoft visual studio express2012 and am trying to install microsoft sql server express 2012 it's getting error like not supported for the OS .Can you please tell me the supported version of sql server.

  The error is very much clear, the system doesnt meet the minimum hardware/Software requirement for installing SQL 2012

  looks like the OS is below the expected level

  Why do you start different threads on the same issue: The error message you are getting is very clear, Your OS do not meet minimum requirement for installing SQL Serve Express 2012. Have a look at the below article:

  This is may be because of SP1 for windows 7 is not installed
