Hi,
I have just done a clean install of SSRS SQL 2012. When I go to the reports page
User '<username>' does not have
required permissions. Verify that sufficient permissions have been granted and
Windows User Account Control (UAC) restrictions have been addressed. This user is sysadmin on the SQL server and I have clicked Site Settings > Security and added him in as SA, System Administrator and System User.
What am I missing?
Thanks,
Zoe

Thanks Rahul, but I have already done that.
I have discovered that if I add the user to the administrators group on the server, they can access the reports.
I have created another server group called SSRS users.
Obviously Administrator access is too much permissions. What do I need to grant to the SSRS users group to allow them to gain access?
Thanks,
Zoe

Hi Zoe,
Based on the current information, the issue may occur due to the IE security settings or the UAC feature on the client computers. Here, I suggest that you try the following steps:
- In the report manager, assign the Browser Item-level permission to the new created user group.
- On each client computer, add the http://<Report Server Name> URL into the trusted site list of the IE.
- Launch the IE by clicking “Run as administrator” when browsing the report manager on each client box.

Thanks Mike, but im afraid that didn't work. The only thing that seems to work is when I add them to the administrators group on the server (which obviously isn't an acceptable solution).
I don't understand it

Hi Zoe,
Thanks for your posting.
I am afraid that you didn't set the Item-level permission properly as I suggested in my previous post. Please ensure the following steps are finished:
- In Report Manager, on the Home page, click Folder Settings.
-
In the Folder Settings page, click Security.
-
Click New Role Assignment.
-
Type your Windows user account in this format: <domain>\<user>.
-
Select Content Manager.
-
Click OK.
