    Okay - I'm an idiot.

    I just installed MSSQL 2012 developer edition on my Windows 8 Pro machine using all the default settings.  I login using windows authentication and changed my default database to point to a project database I'm working on. 

    When I dropped my project database, rather than just pointing me at master when they can't find my default db, SSMS and SQLCMD just gag and kick me out.

    I chose windows mode security during installation and have no recollection of every specifying an sa password. 

    I currently have no way to login to MSSQL.

    Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!
