My SQL server 2012 trial period has expired and doesn't start any more. I have got msdn subscription which comes with embedded key.
How can I activate same installed instance.

Hello,
You just need to perform an edition upgrade using the following article:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc707783.aspx
You won’t lose any data or any object during this process.
Hope this helps.

Hi Alberto,
Unfortunately it didn't work. If you go to the supported version link http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143393.aspx you can see that they clearly mentioned Upgrade from SQL Server 2005 Evaluation, SQL Server 2008 Evaluation, and SQL Server 2008 R2 Evaluation to SQL Server 2012 is not supported.

Hello,
If you are upgrading from SQL Server 2012 Evaluation to a licensed edition it is supported.
If it didn’t work, please share the summary.txt log file with us. Use the following article to locate the file:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143702(v=sql.110).aspx
Hope this helps.
