Monday, December 10, 2012 3:37 PMI have a Sql Server 2008 R2 SP2 install failure. During the system configuration check, the WmiServiceStateCheck fails. WMI can't be restarted. I rebooted the server and all services restart. WMI is running but it will not restart. The Server is a x86 running a 32 bit OS. The OS is Windows 2008.

Tuesday, December 11, 2012 5:14 PMI found the error. The WMI config file was moved to another location. My Windows Platform Team fixed it by recreating the WMI config file.
