Hi,
When I'm searching for a word in the search pane in Object Explorer Details
I can't get any result if I select the database node, only if I select a specific database.
Thanks.

Hello,
Which "Search pane" do you mean? Have you installed a special SSMS addin?

Maybe you don't have permissions to the other databases? I just tried it in SSMS 2012 and SSMS 2008 and it worked fine. If you want to be able to search accross all databases with a tool that works better then I would suggest installing SQL Search:

Yes - Redgate has been around for a long time and is regarded as a good company. Their search tool has the additional benefit of being able to search for text inside stored procedures/functions/etcChuck Pedretti | Magenic – North Region | magenic.com
