To accomplish this, you can use the following procedure to decline an update.

To view declined updates you must create a new view and specify you must make a new view yourself and specify “declined” as the update attribute for the view. You can approve declined updates in that view.

To decline an update:

1. In the Essentials 2007 console, click Updates.

2. In the Updates pane, select the category in which you want to decline one or more updates.

3. In the Results pane, select the updates that you want to decline.

4. Right-click the selected updates and click Decline.

5. After the current view is refreshed, the declined updates may no longer be displayed.

Hope it helps,

Yog Li - MSFTMon, 06 Jul 2009 08:54:08 Z2009-07-06T08:54:08Zhttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/systemcenter/thread/26f3a2de-dcd2-4963-a7f2-76023bde6189#2fef4e44-3dfa-4317-aae4-e6498f70a764http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/systemcenter/thread/26f3a2de-dcd2-4963-a7f2-76023bde6189#2fef4e44-3dfa-4317-aae4-e6498f70a764Yog Li - MSFThttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=Yog%20Li%20-%20MSFTHow can I delete the declined updates in SCE 2007??
WSUS is a built-in part of SCE 2007. To open WSUS console, click "Start" -> "All Programs" -> "Administrative tools", open "Microsoft Windows Server Update Services 3.0 SP1".

Please be reminded that do NOT use WSUS Console to configure the computer groups. Anyway, The SCE and WSUS are not all the same. For example, in WSUS 3.0 environment, there could be a “Computer Group 1” group in “All Computers” group. But in SCE2007 console, “Computer Group 1” will no longer belongs to “All Computers”. The two Computer Groups will be paratactic in the root.

Thanks,

Yog Li - MSFTMon, 06 Jul 2009 09:10:30 Z2009-07-06T09:10:30Zhttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/systemcenter/thread/26f3a2de-dcd2-4963-a7f2-76023bde6189#d433728e-ebd6-4400-a9ee-27b48ad493bchttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/systemcenter/thread/26f3a2de-dcd2-4963-a7f2-76023bde6189#d433728e-ebd6-4400-a9ee-27b48ad493bcClown Godhttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=Clown%20GodHow can I delete the declined updates in SCE 2007??Hello Yog,

By default, there have "Declined updates" view in there.
And i have declined the unuse updates in "Unapproved updates" view, so all the declined updates are already in "Declined updates" view, but the problem is I cannot find the WSUS console before in "Administrative tools", I don't know what's wrong in the installation process.

So I reinstall the WSUS again to ensure the WSUS is okay, after that the link was appear correctly and I can use the Cleanup wizard right now.

Thanks everybody.Tue, 07 Jul 2009 00:45:02 Z2009-07-07T00:45:02Zhttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/systemcenter/thread/26f3a2de-dcd2-4963-a7f2-76023bde6189#c4867c89-b297-42a1-96a8-b77dcac48b08http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/systemcenter/thread/26f3a2de-dcd2-4963-a7f2-76023bde6189#c4867c89-b297-42a1-96a8-b77dcac48b08Yog Li - MSFThttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=Yog%20Li%20-%20MSFTHow can I delete the declined updates in SCE 2007??Hi Clown,

Glad to hear the issue resolved.
