OK. There are many computers which needs critical and security updates. I have checked the updates section and it is set for automatic approval for both these kind of updates.
Also the update status is "Approved for installation" but many of the computers are not getting updated with security and critical updates.
What could be wrong and how do I force push the updates?

    Thank you.

This task will run wuauclt /detectnow on client to detect needed updates. Check if problematic clients can get needed updates. Also, you need to check windowsupdate.log to see if any error message.

You can send windowsupdate.log on problematic client to scedata@microsoft.com for research.

    Hi,

Run wuauclt /detectnow to force detection on clients. Aslo, check %windir%\windowsupdate.log to see if any error prompts.

    Thank you for the reply.
Do I have to go to each machine and manually check it or I can do it from the SCE server?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

You need navigate to computer page and run detect software and update task under actions. You can connect each prolematic client remotely to check windowsupdate.log.

Will do that and let you guys know the outcome.

    Thank you.

The 'Detect Software and Updates Now' under task only gives me a view of that computer showing if I need any updates on that computer, right?
Well, that view showed me that everything is good with a green check mark. But the 'Details' section of that computer shows that there are some updates to be made with an exclamation mark in a yellow triangle. Now what is that all about.
    Please enlighten
