Replace System Center 2010 with new System Center 2012

I am taking over a System Center 2010 Essentials environment that has been powered off and unmanaged for some time. Rather than try to decipher what is correct and what is incorrect, and then upgrade to System Center 2012, I want to just start over.
My plan is to do a new/fresh/clean install of System Center 2012 and remove the existing 2010 install. Do I have to do anything with the agents that are currently installed? Do they have to be uninstalled in 2010 and reinstalled in the NEW 2012, or will 2012 be able to use them?
I really don't want to have to mess with the 2010 install if I don't have to, the machine it is on is under-spec'd and poorly performing.

Hi,
If you would remove System Center Essentials 2010, the agents should also be removed. Regarding uninstalling System Center Essentials 2010, please also refer to the following guide:

Hope this helps.
Thanks.

Hi,
Based on my understanding, the agents are different. I think the SCE 2010 agents should be removed and then install SCOM 2012 agents.
Thanks.
