    Hi,

Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following:

    1.    You can try to clear the cache by running the SCE console from the command line with the option: “/clearcache” and see how it works:

    Example:

    "C:\Program Files\System Center Essentials 2007\Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.SCE.UI.Console.exe" /clearcache

    2.    Please try the following method to repair .NET Framework 2.0

How to manually remove and then reinstall the .NET Framework 2.0

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/908077

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for your response.

WSUS 3.0 SP2 ended up fixing my problem. After installation, the console does not crash, and synchronization of updates are successfull. I got the service pack here:
