SCE Console crashing with .NET Runtime Error

Whenever I try to open the SCE console I receive a: Event: 5000 Source: .NET Runtime 2.0 Error Reporting

Hi,
Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following:
1. You can try to clear the cache by running the SCE console from the command line with the option: “/clearcache” and see how it works:
Example:
"C:\Program Files\System Center Essentials 2007\Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.SCE.UI.Console.exe" /clearcache
2. Please try the following method to repair .NET Framework 2.0
How to manually remove and then reinstall the .NET Framework 2.0

Thanks for your response.
WSUS 3.0 SP2 ended up fixing my problem. After installation, the console does not crash, and synchronization of updates are successfull. I got the service pack here:
