I cannot deploy agents anymore.  When I go to deploy agents I get this error "The MOM Server could not start the MOMAgentInstaller service on computer "example.computer.local" in the time." Error Code: 80070102.  I think installing WSUS 3.0 SP2 broke this.  I also installed some new management packs including the Windows client management pack.  It could have been either one that broke it I suppose.  I had a perfectly working SCE installation before this.

    Hi,

WSUS 3.0 SP2 is supported by SCE SP1.

The error message "The MOM Server could not start the MOMAgentInstaller service on computer " indicates NSlookup may failed on server.

    Possible DNS resolution issue.

Please verify domain is in suffix search list on SCE servers.

Yes, I had seen that listed as a possible problem.  However, I can perform nslookup on the SCE server and it has no problems looking up computers.  I can also ping any clients from that server too.  The only change I have made is installing WSUS SP2 and the new client management pack so I don't know what else to do except uninstall the WSUS SP2.

    Hi,

Which is the OS version of the client that you want to push agent to? Windows XP?Windows Vista or Windows 7?

Vista and 7.  I successfully pushed an agent yesterday so maybe it has resolved itself.  You can close this post.
