    Hello,

I had implemented SCE 2010 sometime last year, it didn't work the way I had hope so I uninstalled it from our server. Since then, the SCE group policies have kept re-appearing in the GPOM console. Is this a known issue, or has anyone experience the same situation?

    Hello Luis,

As far as I know, the Group Policy settings will be removed with SCE 2010 uninstallation.

Did you use the Add or Remove Programs to remove System Center Essentials 2010 management server? Have you checked the Essentials installation folder, and ensure that all files and folders have been removed? The default name for this folder is Program Files\System Center Essentials 2010.

Besides, is there a remote Essentials 2010 Reporting Server on a remote database server? If yes, have you ever uninstall it? Is it possible that another instance of SCE server is running in the environment?

    Thanks,

    Hello Yog,

I used Add or Remove Programs to uninstall the application. I do not see any folders related to System Center Essentials. I do have a Reporting Server in SQL that was made specifically for System Essentials. I do not see any other instance of SCE in the network.

    Hi Luis,

if the SSRS instance is shared, then make sure the right instance is removed. What I mean by that is, the instance that was used for SCE should be removed.

also, another thing that you can do is make sure that the GPO policy (used for WSUS,etc) is removed from the domain, and then if that is already covered, make sure that you run gpupdate/force on the affected computers, to make sure that the gpo is no longer active.

Please check http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff603581.aspx, or http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff603623.aspx for your reference.

Please let me know if you have any question.

    Thanks,

    Jose
