VMWare Hosts in SCE 2010?
-
Thursday, October 22, 2009 5:06 PMI know that VMWare might be sort of a dirty word in this forum, but I was curious if the flavor of VMM that is included in SCE 2010 will support ESX hosts and VM's?

Hi Antonius. While SCE 2010 does leverage portions of VMM technology, SCE 2010 does not support direct management of ESX hosts. You can still push agents to Windows VMs that are virtualized inside of ESX hosts but they will be treated as physical machines by the SCE console.

Hi Pierre, that was what I was afriad of, but not a huge loss I guess as I can still use VMWare's vCenter, I was just hoping to consolidate another console (product).
Thanks for your responce.
