    Can anyone at MS tell me when Beta 2 will be released (an actual date not Q3 or Q4)? I have been holding off purchasing a different product but it is get urgent now.

    Last I heard anything MS said "end of september".

    The official news is that it will be released at the end of September. This probably would mean that it will generally be available on the 1st of oktober! Beta 2 is NOT production ready. They will NOT support upgrading from this release. At least that is what they said last so keep this in mind!

    Hi Guys,

    We are looking into purchasing this product but we need to know what the expected final release date will be as we will not be able to run using a beta. Is this Beta 2 a release candidate Beta or do you expect a couple more before the final release?

     Beta 2 is a feature complete release.  This is the last public release before the RTM.  RTM is planned for the first half of CY 2010.
