    Hi Guys,

    I recently migrated our Service Manager DB to a remote SQL server,

    Service Manager is working ok besides the error on my previous thread,

    However the DW Extraction Job keeps failing and as a result we have no data on our reports.

    The error in Eventvwr is as follows:

    ETL Module Execution failed:

     ETL process type: Extract
     Batch ID: 497
     Module name: Extract_ManagedType_IT_Houghton
     Message: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)

    Can you please advise?

    I found a thread advising to change the Server Name in one of the tables in the Service Manager DB,

    The DW jobs are running under our admin accounts that have access to both the Service Manager Server and the DW and SQL server.

    Please advise?

    In DWStagingAndConfig DB (maybe in ServiceManager DB too) try to update the server and the database name in the table MT_Microsoft$SystemCenter$ResourceAccessLayer$SqlResourceStore
