Hi,
Is there a way to use the SCSM Dashboards but narrow down the results according to certain people.
For Example, i would like to use "Incidents within Target Resolution Time (%)" and "Time to Resolution" for departments as well as overall, is this at all possible?

You can open the page in Edit mode, then edit the approriate dataset. Hint. Just type in "Incident" in the Dataset configuration name box, and it will automatically show all incident data sets.
Select the dataset you want to edit, click Create/Edit button, then expand the minimzed Dataset pane (click on the plus icon). When the pane expands, you will see a "SQL query" text box where you can edit the query. Don't forget to click the Save and Close button at the bottom of the webpart when you are done.

I realise I am pushing my luck, would it be possible to get a sample of the SQL query to "limit" my selection.

Giving an example without knowing your actual situation (i.e. department names; variables etc.) is a little bit hard.
What you should do is have your (or a) DBA / SQL help you in creating the proper query. You can than easily add that query to the dashbaord as described above...

Reporting and Business Intelligence with Service Manager 2010 (with Chris Lauren, Monday, June 28th @ 1pm (PT)).
Microsoft System Center Service Manager 2010 includes an extensible data warehouse and reporting platform with many reports out of the box. In this demo-packed webcast, I’ll show you how to use and customize these reports as well as create your own using Report Builder. To wrap up the session, I’ll show you how to setup the Service Manager dashboards. This will be a moderately technical session.Regards
