    Hey all

I am trying to import an IBM update catalog into SCE.

I found a manual on the IBM site on how to do that with SCUP and then publish them.

I deed the following steps but I can’t see them in the WSUS, to import them afterwards in SCE.

    ·         Import the catalog into SCUP à OK

    ·         Publishing to WSUS à OK

If I open the WSUS console I don’t see them :-(

Can someone help me with this?

    Hi,
To import the catalog to SCE, you don't need to use SCUP. SCUP can be used if you want to create your own catalogs for example. In SCE:
    1) Open the console and select update view
    2) Select the top node in the console and in the action pane (right side) you will have a option to import from partners
3)Click on import from partner and it will start a wizard.
4)SIne the IBM catalog is not listed in the master catalog you have to provide a ftp/http/local path to where it is located
5)You will now see a list of update or a list of updates since the last time you imported it (you need to import it regulary if the update it.
    6) You haev allso an option to create a view for the updates (this is default)
7)You  now have all "metadata" about the udpates and can now approve them as any other update

To be able to "see" what updates you need, look at my blogpost http://advisec.wordpress.com/2009/05/25/ever-wanted-to-have-a-report-to-get-a-list-of-updates-that-are-not-approved-missing-updates-mp-is-now-available-to-download/

    Hope this helps
