    Hey all

I create the package in SCE and select the option to publish package to add remove programs, then I try to install it via the updates but it failed.

Then I install it via add remove programs and that was a success but it still persist and it gives a failed in the SCE console.

Can someone help me with this?

    Thanks for the reply,

I was surfing the internet and found out that it is for a local administrator.

In the mean time I managed to let it work, the problem was the UAC.

I did not see it, but by digging deeper into the logs I found a comment that the application was waiting for an action.

I disabled the UAC and it went fine J

    Stupid I know ;-)

Thanks for helping out, see you next time.

    Hello kinom,

By design, a software published to "Add/Remove Programs" should not be installed unless the local administrator choose to install it on the local machine. What did you mean by "to install it via the updates"?

Besides, the program will disappear from the Add New Programs list after a period of time from being installed. Does it still exist in the list on the managed computers?

Could you post the details of the error information? Also, please check if any error message in the windowsupdate.log file.

    Thanks,
