QuestionOUTLOOK EXPRESS DOESN'T SEND MAIL OR READ MAIL

    I am just beginnng to use outlook express 6.0.  I have Windows XP 5.1and use WIFI in my apartment.  It seems to send mail, but the receiver (me) doesn't receive it.  I don't see a SENT message.  When I try to view a message (in my hotmail account) using Outlook, I get a message: Outlook Express encountered an unexpected problem while displaying this message. Check your computer for low memory or low disk space and try again  I have plenty of memory and disk space.  I so far have no success with the troubleshooter.  I can't view my 121 unread messages all together using hotmail, so I am hoping  outlook has a way to do this.  Thanks!
