    My lab is on a single server, where I confgured Hyper-v and DC on the Host.

    I've build a VMM2012 Virtual Machine, but I can´t find the way to add the Host into VMM.

    I get errors the following errors:

    -------

    Error (2912)
    An internal error has occurred trying to contact an agent on the DCHyperV.xyz.abc server: NO_PARAM: NO_PARAM.
    Cannot perform this operation on built-in accounts (0x8007055B)

    Recommended Action
    Ensure the agent is installed and running. Ensure the WS-Management service is installed and running, then restart the agent.

    ------------

    I've tried the following things without succes:

    -Install the agent manually

    -Configure the VMM service account to run as a service

    -Turn off the firwall

     I really would like to use this configuration, as it saves me RAM on my server.

    "Configure the VMM service account to run as a service" < what do you mean with this?

    Are you running your SCVMMService as a domain account or using LocalSystem?

    If you`re using a domain account for your SCVMMService, you can`t use the same credentials in a Run as Account.

    Try to create a new domain account with proper permissions and user rights on your hosts, and use those credentials when adding your host again.

    Thanks Kirstian, but it didn´t work...

    When I replace the local account on the Hyper-V/DC host with a domain account, I get informed that the new account is granted some new security privileges (sucha as logon as a service)....nevertheless, the this still doesn´t work.

    I finally opted to create a dedicated VM Domain Controller, then umpromoted the Hyper-V Host and the agent got installed right away.

    I can see clearly that unfortunately mixing DC's most of the servers is a lost of time....

    Kind regards,

     I tried to add a server on SCVMM that acts as a DC and got the same error.

    Help!

    I managed to fix this, however, I hope it works in your deployment as well.

    On my VMM server, my SCVMMService runs as an Administrator account. In VMM, all VM's that run on my DC/Host server show "Not Responding" and/or "Not Running"... while they're all running actually.

    The Host that is also a DC is a Windows 2008 SP2 server.  In order to solve the "not responding" blabla "check WinRM" issues, I ran these commands on my DC Host from CMD: (use copy paste, make sure that "type= own" has a space between '=' and 'own')

    winrm set winrm/config @{MaxTimeoutms = "1800000"}
    winrm set winrm/config/Service @{MaxConcurrentOperationsPerUser="400"}
    sc config winrm type= own

    net stop winrm
    net start winrm
    net start scvmmagent

    The SCVMMAgent on my DC Host runs as local system btw, never changed this. I also restarted the SCVMMService on my VMM machine afterwards, then opened the VMM console and refreshed the DC/Host state. Everything turned green!

    Hello.

    SCVMM 2012 is still not working with DC / Hyper-V host? There are no solutions?
