Unanswered VMM 2012 stops responding to powershell commands

I am using VMM primarily via the Dynamic Datacenter Toolkit for Hoster (v3.1) which is installed on a machine with SCOM.  I'm seeing problems where after a while, VMM will stop responding.  It will eventually fail with a message saying that the powershell context couldn't be created because it couldn't access vmm.  At this point, I cant use powershell to do anything with vmm and even the UI will fail to connect.  If I already have a connection via the UI though it still works.  If I do a netstat -a, there are tons of connections open from my SCOM machine (where the ddctk is installed) to the VMM machine.  If I restart the VMM service everything works fine.  It seems like somehow connections are not being released.  I wonder if anyone else is seeing this, or if there are any suggestions for how correct this?  Thanks!
