    Hi,

I'm trying to convert a physical Dell Powedge 2300, Windows 2000 Adv. Srv w. SP4.

After collecting data and installing the SCVMM agent on the machine, I'm getting this error:

    Error (3213):

"VMM does not support the specific type of the system file halapic.dll found on the source machine"

    Recommended Action:

"Selected machine cannot be virtualized. Contact Microsoft Techical support"

    Anyone seen this problem before?

    /Henrik

Is your machine a 64bit one or a multiprocessor physical system?

I will also get someone from the P2V team to check this out.

    Hi Michael,

The physical machine I'm trying to convert is a 32 bit, but the Virtual Server is 64 bit multiprocessor kernel, Windows 2003 64 bit Enterprise installed on HP DL585.

you motherboard bios must be pretty old - it is non-acpi. Unfortunately for Vista WinPE that we use for offline type of conversion works only with acpi ones.

sorry, you are out of luck for SCVMM V1 with this box, unless you upgrade the BIOS.
