Force BITS traffic over a selected network

Is there a way to target BITS traffic over a selected network when deploy VMs from a library?
I have a library server connected to my hyper-v hosts over two networks, a public 1Gb and storage 10Gb. The SCVMM server is connected to both via the 1GB link. At the moment deployments are happing over the 1Gb link, I'd like them over the 10Gb.
Am I correct in thinking that when SCVMM issues a command to deploy a VM, the Hyper-V host responsible for the target CSV will initiate a BITS connection and pull from the library server.
If this is the case then I should be OK to change the hosts file on all the hyper-V hosts to override the public IP of the library server?
Also SCVMM does issue the deploy request using host names, not IPs, doesn't it?
Cheers,
Stephen.

No, it's impossible, but you can optimize the performance of BITS.
Also, look this article about monitoring download and upload jobs.

Thanks for the reply, I've ended up droping a host and lmhost file onto each of the hyper-v hosts and overridding the public IP addresses for the file server, and that's forced all the BITS traffic onto the correct network. It might not be ideal but has solved my problem for now.

HI, Stephn
try this :
1. Register a DNS name for your library server that post to the IP address assigned to your library server
2. Add library server using this name
it's just a suggestion I don't know if would work or not , please let me know if it did
