Server App-V on Windows Server 2008 SP2

I'm trying to get Server App-V to work on a Windows Server 2008 SP 2 x86 machine. The SAV agent installs without problems, however, when I deploy a virtual application I get the following error: 0x87D01281
According to this blog this is due to an incorrect app-v agent on the machine.
Is there a Server App-V agent for operating systems prior to Windows Server 2008 R2?
