SCVMM 2012 sp1 Installation Fails

everything looks like it installed correctly except the SCVMMService won't start: access denied.
error: VMM cannot start the service. Service name: SCVMMService
Click Start, click in the Search programs and files box, type services.msc, and then press Enter. Right-click the service name, and then click Start.The domain account has local admin rights, after the failure I have local admin rights on the sql box as well. I see in sql the db was created and the sql logon was created for the service account.

I think i found the issue, the server is 2012 and after moving the computer account into an OU blocked from GPO the service started. This issue only occurs on server 2012, our 2008 machines have no issue. I had a similar issue installing sql 2012 on server 2012
