Service Template - SQL Cluster

Evening All,
I am wanting to create a service template that will include an SQL 2008 R2 failover cluster. I would like to provision dedicated luns for sysdb, syslogs, userdbs and userlogs. What would be the best method to complete this?
I can create a single SQL node with the lun mapped and create a vhd on top?
Thanks
Paul

Hello Paul,
As far as i know there is no options to make Guest SQL Cluster in VMM 2012.
Guest Clustering is not supported with luns, just can be made by ISCSI.
But good news , with Windows 2012 , we will be able to use LUN.
Sincerely,
Murat Demirkiran

Hi, Paul
The service template does not support building SQL Cluster , the SQL Sysprep configuration works only for Single standalone SQL installation

Thanks both.
When using iSCSI, will this be from within the guest, or the actual host?
I can still create an sql cluster using SCORCH though, so shouldnt be a major show stopper.
Cheers

The iSCSI, should be from within the guest , so that both SQL VM see the same storage
