Hi, i Need some quick info please.
Have done quite a bit of reading in the last hours but want my question confirmed. Everywhere they that that if you have it you can use it but they dont say you dont need it installed...
Can i do live migrations without purchasing System Centre Virtual Machine Manager?
Also... what is the advantages of buying VMM?
Thanks!

Ok, i now know that VMM is not required for Live Migration.

No, you don`t need VMM for automated fail over. But VMM (2012) gives you some nice features when it comes to managing and maintaining your cluster, with things like dynamic and power optimization, and on-demand updating of your entire hyper-v cluster(s).
Check out my SCVMM2012 label on my blog at http://kristiannese.blogspot.com for more information about those features.
