Integrating VMM 2012 to OpsMgr 2007 R2

Hi,
I've just upgraded a VMM 2008 R2 to VMM 2012, and trying to setup PRO once again to a OpsMgr 2007 R2.
This worked previously on the 2008 R2 server.
When I do this, I get an error stating:
Error 11804: The Virtual Machine Manager service does not have required credentials to access the Operations Manager SDK service on <server-name>
As stated above, it was working previously so apparently something changed in how VMM integrates with OpsMgr. But I have been unable to find any documents stating the exact rights and requirements needed to do this.
Have tried adding the accounts I use as local admins as well as admins in both OpsMgr and VMM without getting it to work.
Regards,
Anders

Hi Anders -
Here are some tips on SCOM 2007 R2 <-> SCVMM 2012 integration: http://blogs.technet.com/b/operationsmgr/archive/2012/01/23/potential-issues-with-vmm-2012-opsmgr-integration.aspx and http://blogs.technet.com/b/operationsmgr/archive/2011/04/14/operations-manager-2007-integration-and-pro-improvements-in-scvmm-2012.aspx.
You have installed the same version SCOM 2007 R2 console used in your SCOM management group on the SCVMM 2012 server?
The SDK account is a member of the AD group specfied as the SCOM 2007 R2 administator group in the SCOM 2007 R2 console, administration space?

Monday, May 21, 2012 12:10 PMHi John,
Sorry for the delayed answer.
In my testing I've made the accounts used both local admins on the servers, as well as admins in OpsMgr but to no avail.
And yes, the SCOM admin console is installed on the VMM server and vice versa although it doesn't seem to be a requirement anymore.

Can you please collect VMM server traces during establishing connection to further diagnose the issue ?

Please try to install the MPs in VMM install folder (ManagementPacks directory) , using the SCOM Console directly . That will help diagnose any MP importing errors in advance.
If your issue is resolved now, please let us know how/what did you do troubleshoot your issue. thanks !
