AnswerIntegrating VMM and SCOM 2007

After deploying SCOM on a separate box from the VMM server following article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc956099.aspx

I get an error when trying to add the Operations Manager Server under the Administration Console from the VMM Server:

    --------------------------

Unable to set the Operations Manager root server in VMM because the Operations Console for Operations Manager is not installed on the Virtual Machine Manager server.

Install the Operations Console for System Center Operations Manager 2007 on the Virtual Machine Manager server and then try the operation again.

    ID: 11808

    ----------------

So I tried to install a Stand-alone version of the OPsMngr Console on the VMM server and I'm unable to accomplish this because I get the following error:

Set up cannot locate the SC Database on the specific server. To change the SC database server or SQL Server Port click back.

TCP Port: 1433 is already enabled on both servers VMM and SCOM.
The SC database name conventions is as follow: ServerName\SQL Instance
SQL Database name: ReportServer (this database name differs from the databases name in the VMM server. Same as the SQL Instances for both servers)

I know that it's perfectly possible to install SCOM and VMM in separate boxes. Any one knows why the stand-alone installation of SCOM on the VMM Server is failing?

    Thanks!
