Visio crash

Hello,
Has anyone had issues with Visio 2010 32bit crashing on Windows 7?

Hi,
I think I've got the same problem as you, I removed the bluetooth add-in for Office and this seems to have solved my issue. It only crashed Visio 2010 rather than the whole Office suite rather bizarrely...

Never mind, I found it. Open Vision and go to File --> Options --> Add-Ins. From there, select Manage: COM Add-ins at the bottom and click the Go... button.
It's worth noting that mine already had the Bluetooth add-in disabled, so I removed it. That did the trick. It took a while to print the first PDF but all the others have been fast.

Why is the Bluetooth add-in enabled across the Office 2010 suite by default? This is the number one cause of crashes and the number one irritating issue with an otherwise excellent product.
Can someone comment on why this isn't disabled by default?

Thursday, October 27, 2011 6:34 PMI am having the problem with Visio crashing also...no prior warning, the program just closes. I do have Bluetooth enabled but I can't get it to disable. I've used File ~ options ~ add-ins. I click on the "Send to Bluetooth" add-in, change the "manage" drop-down to disable and then press GO. It tells me nothing was selected. Can someone help me with the disable problem??

Agreed. I would also like an answer as to why a non-Beta product is shipping with an auto-installed add-in that fatally destabilizes the program. Other MS Office products don't have this kind of issue. Why is Visio, a product that many of us pay an additional premium for, treated as an afterthought?
Removing the Bluetooth add-in appears to have fixed mine as well.

Hold the shift button the VISIO 2010 shortcut, that would give option as Run as Administrator, start Visio as Admin, then you could remove bluetooth add-in
that solves some of the problems,
Even after disabling bluetooth addin, if I group some objects, crashing heavily..
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What type of shapes being grouped causes a crash? What about id you group simple circles and rectangles?
What happens with the crash? Does Visio lock up, become slow, totally non-responsive, give an error message, just quit silently or what?

Wednesday, December 21, 2011 4:23 PM1. I have some server icons and fancy arrows -try to group them its crashed - I mean, it shows up find solution online, restart and debug options... Either way, all the work is lost if not frequently saved. Why cant visio also have autosave - the way it works for Word, or recovery options.... Hope you suggest a solution, thanks
