Hello,
we want to test USB redirection with VDI (RemoteFX).
Do we need a gpu (ATI or Nvidia Graphic card) in our test server for this scenario?
We want to install win2008r2Sp1 on a HP Proliant dl380g5.
This server has no additional "special gpu".
After that enabling hyper-v and vdi role.
Install virtual machine with win7SP1 and then connect with a win7SP1 client.
We do not need the graphic enhancements.Thank you
Regards
Marc

The GPU driver must support DirectX 9.0c and DirectX 10.0. If more than one GPU is installed in the RemoteFX server, the GPUs must be identical. The GPU must have sufficient dedicated video memory that is separate from system memory. Please refer:
Hardware Considerations for RemoteFX
If the current GPU driver meet the requirements, you do not need to change it.

Hi Marc,
I was wondering what you've learned about this. I am asking the same question.
I am trying to use a local scanner in a virtual W7 desktop and it aint working and I don't have a GPU in the server and I don't need one at this time.
David :-)
