Thursday, February 17, 2011 1:58 PMHi,
to see the cause of Windows 7 update / Service Pack failures, we must look for error messages in the file CBS.log.
Please run the Windows Explorer and go to the folder "C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\" and copy all files to your document folder (otherwise you can't upload them), zip all files into 1 ZIP and upload the zip to your SkyDrive [1] and post a link here.

Run BCDEdit > BCDeditlog.txt and post the content of the created BCDeditlog.txt here. Do you use an 3rd party bootloader (GRUB)?

Please start a new topic and explain the issue you encounter in detail.
Also, you may try the Andre's suggestion above.

I had similair issues and fixed it by assigning a drive letter to the 'System Reserved' (100MB hidden partition) before installing SP1.
After installing SP1 I remove the letter.
(Disk Management did not show me the volume name for this partition when no letter was assigned. Also the details were not available. Only after assigning a letter the volume name and partition information was available.. disabling the letter did keep the information available but after a reboot this information was gone again from disk management, have to look into this though)
