We have a legacy application that uses Winhelp to display user info. We are updating the app and have run into a problem. Some of the original RTF source for the Winhelp projects contained embedded graphics. In many cases the graphics are no longer displaying
in Winhelp. Instead a large empty box appears. It appears that if a legacy rtf file (created in an unknown earlier version of Word) is opened and saved with the newer Word version, the problem appears. It has been reported that the problem appears on some
OSs and not in others but behavior also varies from computer to computer. I don't understand the behavior because I thought the graphics embedded in the rtf would compile into the help file or not and would appear regardless of the OS or computer. Any thoughts
on this?
It is NOT practical for us to move to HTML help for this application so we have to make Winhelp work.
Thanks,
Ron
