Can the Office Communicator 2005 client be installed/run (is supported on) Windows 7, or is there is an article or document expressly declaring that Office Communicator 2005 client will not install/run on Windows 7?  I've not been able to find any info on this pairing...  Thanks.

I just downloaded and installed the Microsoft Office Communicator 2005 trial on my Windows 7 RC computer and everything seems to work fine. I don't think you'll have any problems.

I am using Office Communicator 2005 and Windows 7 and am having problems with Application Sharing.  My understanding is that Communicator relies on conf.exe which is not present on Windows 7.

Has anyone else seen this problem, or I am just missing something obvious.

    Thanks

I am facing the same issue.
I know that the netmeeting had been replaced by SharedView, but no effect even I installed it.

Just want to add my 2 cents and say that yep, I've noticed similar quirks too on the same platform -- e.g., sometimes group chat doesn't work, sometimes you can't close a chat window (yep!), and video conferencing doesn't seem to work. We're holding off upgrading to Windows 7 until we upgrade to OCS 2007 first.

    Cheers.

Is OCS 2007 the only way?
