No sound in Java appletsAs the title says, I am having a problem where sound does not work in Java applets under Windows 7. I'm running the most recent version of the JRE available from the Sun website, 6 update 12. The problem occurs in any browser I've tried, including Internet Explorer and the latest versions of Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.<div><br></div><div>Sound is working fine outside of Java applets, and the applets themselves are working normally other than the fact that they are silent.</div><div><br></div><div>Is this an issue unique to my system? After searching the forums and using Google fairly extensively I've been unable to find any reports of similar issues with Windows 7 so I'm beginning to suspect that it is.</div>© 2009 Microsoft Corporation. I don't know much about the type of read/write access. All sounds in other applications are working fine. It's when I access http://www.kurnik.pl/warcaby/ and want to play checkers for example, there are no sounds although the sound is enabled there. The applet sound used to be working fine before I reinstalled my XP, it was on J: partition, now it's D:, if that's of any importance. I ve got a vista on C: where Java applet sound is ok.<br/>Sat, 04 Jul 2009 22:58:59 Z2009-07-04T22:58:59Z
