    Hi folks,

I have a issue with the action center and my iolo system mechanic warning me that I have no antivirus program protection....

    Vitals:

      I'm running 64bit

    Windows 7 ultimate

    Kaspersky internet Security 2009

    lavasoft anniversary Ad-Ware pro

    Iolo system mechanic

    Cisco network magic

Prior to loading (upgrading) Windows 7 Ultimate from Vista Ultimate I was just running Kaspersky Security 2009....  after the (7 beta) D/L I was directed to the Kaspersky site for a   compatibility D/L to their program...   after the restart my iolo sys mechanic, Cisco Net magic and Windows 7 are still telling me that I have no anti virus protection...  furthermore iolo sys mechanic is even telling me that Kaspersky internet security is inactive...  I know that the programs are running normally but the warnings are still there...

By and large the windows 7 program has worked fine and don't feel that this is a serious problem, I'm thinking that this being a beta OS could be the problem and the apps are just not talking to each other...  any help would be appreciated...

    thanks..

PS...  Considering this would down/loading Kaspersky 2010 be advisable now..???

    Hi again folks....

I have finally understood and fixed my issues with Windows 7 and the 3rd party apps....   After reading the sticky by Ronnie Vernon

I reinstalled the 3rd party apps. that were giving me issues....   now all apps. recognize each other as far as letting me know that my sys is working as it should....   above and beyond what Windows 7 OS indicates....    My mistake was thinking that installing windows as an upgrade to Vista Ultimate, the apps would work as before....

    thanks again....

PS...  this issue can be closed....

    Hi folks,

OK...   Action Center flag gone....   After going to the Kaspersky web site  and 1st reading that kaspersky 2010 wouldn't be ready for Windows 7 until MFR release...  I down/loaded it anyway and Windows 7 now recognizes the app as a anti-virus working 3rd party app....   I'm still working on the iolo sys. mechanic and Cisco net magic to do like wise....

    thanks
