I'm using an HP Pavilion p7-1234 with an AMD Quad-Core A6-3650 processor. When I try to install VirtualBox, it says that the Windows Installer thing needs installed again.

Hi,
If you mean you can't install Virtual PC. Please try to reinstall it again.
Go to this link:http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx and choose the right version for your Windows 7, then install it again.
Also, please let me know the edition of your Windows 7, and is it 32-bit or 64-bit?
If the issue persist, please try the following:
1. Check if Windows XP Mode exist in Control Panel -> Programs and Features.
2. Check if KB958559 is listed in installed updates.
3. Run C:\Windows\system32\VMWindow.exe.
4. Check if the folder C:\Users\your user name\Virtual Machine exists.Spencer
