    I recently installed Windows XP on my emachines EL1850G-42w and I have no sound through the Windows Media Player 11. I have set the volume through the media player and also through Accessories volume control and I get nothing. What other options do I have to determine the problem?

    Some suggestion:

    1 Update Sound Card driver. Check the configuration on control panel\sound

    2 Check if the issue only occur with WMP.
