  If you have not installed SP1, let us install the following hotfix first.

  
  977648 An application that calls the ReadConsoleOutputCharacter function closes unexpectedly or data becomes corrupted when the application runs in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2

  After installing KB977648, please install KB2507938 also.

  Method 1:

  Method 2:

  .NET 3.5.1 Framework in 2008 R2 SP1 was the answer for me.
