Monday, January 19, 2009 10:31 PMHas anyone else had problems with this program?
Installation - No Problem
Tried to update - No signal to monitor - system froze.
Reboot - tried to update same again
Another reboot - problem repeated
Reboot to safe mode with network - updates successfully completed
Reboot to normal mode - works perfectly
Just a little wobble bit something youmay need to be aware of & how to cure it.

Tuesday, January 20, 2009 5:14 AMIf this is the kaspersky beta that Windows recommends, then yes, it is very buggy.
Was previously using AVG 8, then decided to try KAV just to test things out.
Install went thru fine, however the anti-hacker tool as they call it (the firewall) was extremely buggy. Started up utorrent and after a minute or two, all network activity stopped.
I tried to uninstall but it hanged for 5 minutes requiring a manual reboot. I was finally able to uninstall and just went back to AVG. -
Tuesday, January 20, 2009 7:18 AMim running KIS 8.0.0.506en on windows 7 (64) and have had absolutely no problems, it updates in the background quite happily, however when i installed it i chose the disable windows firewall option, thereby letting KIS do both antivirus and firewall, so far ive had one Virus warning, which was apparently a script on facebook, so i sent the details to the application makers, havent heard back but KIS does'nt go nuts there now.
