- Hello Mo0oha,
Thanks for the post.
As per my understanding,
Java Version 6 seems to be compatible with windows 7.
This link will help you regarding this information.
Download JDK Latest version from https://cds.sun.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/WFS/CDS-CDS_Developer-Site/en_US/-/USD/ViewProductDetail-Start?ProductRef=java_ee_sdk-5_01-oth-JPR@CDS-CDS_Developer
I tried installing JRE and JDK in my machine (Windows 7- 32 bit).
Both were installed successfully.
For JDK, first it will say that platform not supported, but later it will be installed successfully.
Hope it helps.

Looks like Java 6 works on Windows 7.

Just because that says it works doesnt mean it does. I myself have had multiple problems with my windows 7, never once get a helpful response. My Java either runs painfully slow + crashes or doesnt load up at all. There is obviously a conflict.Looks like Java 6 works on Windows 7.
