QuestionApplication crashes after installing the ACT data collector

    I installed the application compatibility data collector to an XP machines in order to upgrade for windows 7, after that when users start some applications like office 2003,ie6,and other,the applications were crash and didn't work, so i have stoped the ACT data collector service then the applications start work fine, any one knows why this happened?.

    Do you have an antivirus solution like McAfee's Host Intrusion Prevention (ePolicy Orchestrator) running in your environment? If so, this is a known interaction and there is a workaround. Mail back to this thread and we can help you figure this problem out.

    yes, there is a Mcafee host intrusion prevention installed in some of the clients,so how i can fix this?

    Mohammad - Did ACT crash or the other applications like Office ?
    Can you provide the error message as well?

    It wasn’t ACT crash, it was with application. The behavior is; when users try to run IE6 or Office 2003 its process appears at the task manager but the programs interface didn’t appear and there is no error message to pup-up.
