Answered Win 7 Win 8 dual boot, now no backup

I installed Win 8 on a new partition of my laptop and now my Win 7 will not do backups.  It fails and tells me to free up space on the drive, which has 65% free (476GB).  It won't even back up a single file.

Backup did not complete successfully because a shadow copy could not be created. Free up disk space on the drive that you are backing up by deleting unnecessary files and then try again.

Anybody else seen this or know how to fix it?

    Hi,

This could be related to system reserved partition, if you only want to backup files, try to uncheck “Include a system image” and  test if it can back up successfully.

If so, you have the same situation with the following thread:

w7x64rc backup fails with error code 0x81000019

I've tried to backup a single file with no image, still no change.  I am away until the weekend so I'll try more then.
