COMPATIBILITY SOFTWARE WITH DRIVER ADAPTERS
-
Friday, February 17, 2012 8:46 AMI have WindowsXP and digital modem access to the internet. I am finding I can only get onto the internet early morning or late at night. The sessions are bumped after about an hour of internet access. I have gone thru different things with a tech....i.e. utilizing the device manager, windows update feature (I have the default set to update automatically on any updates), implementing a diagnosic check thru the system with the response..."this device is operating correctly" (in reference to Link Systems adapter/driver), resetting the modem, disconnecting all powers and ports with computer shutdown. I have internet bundle services where the modem has ports for the computer and the telephone. I do not have any problems with using the telephone. The internet access does not get bumped when using the telephone. It has been suggested by techs that #1 I may need another modem and #2 Microsoft app is not reading some kind of configuration from computer to modem and I need to go to Microsoft Website and uninstall and reinstall driver/adapter. Pls advise. Very much appreciated and thank you.
