zoo tycoon 2 executable has stopped working, please help!

Thursday, August 16, 2012 8:34 PMBasically I just got zoo tycoon 2 ultimate collection and the installing part went fine but when I tried to play the game the colour scheme changed on windows 7 and then this message popped up.
"zoo tycoon 2 executable has stopped working" I've tried loads, people are talking about compatibility and I've tried that but I don't understand how it works please, please help!

Are you certain that zoo tycoon 2 is compatible with Windows 7? I can see only Vista and other legacy operating system.

Saturday, August 18, 2012 5:23 AMFrom what I can see online Zoo Tycoon 2 seems to work on Windows 7 32-bit but not Windows 7 64-bit. Do you have 64-bit?

Hi,
Based on my research, Microsoft Zoo Tycoon 2 is compatible with Windows 7. Therefore, please try the following:
1. Boot into Clean Boot Mode and see how it works.2. Follow the steps in Game crashes or closes unexpectedly.
3. Follow the steps in Microsoft Games: Error "Game has encountered a problem and needs to close".
If issue persists, it is recommended to post the issue Microsoft Gaming Forum.
