Hello,
I have a problem that i am really not sure the cause of it (Whether software or Hardware). My computer specs are the following:
Processor: AMD FX-8120 Eight Cores
RAM: 4GB
Mother board: Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3
HDD: Western Digital 500 GB
Graphics: Radeon HD6770
When I install windows 7 32bit version on my computer everything runs smoothly and perfectly. However, when I install windows 7 or 8 64bit things starts to get ugly. I am not able to install some applications. I tried to install Visual Studio 2010 but the installation has failed. I tried to install Adobe Reader and it also failed. Even when installing the .NET Framework 4 it fails. I am really not sure if this is a problem in my windows or my Hardware.
The installer either crashes or it shows me a message telling me that the installation has failed.
Please help
Thank you :)

Hi,
The errors really vary, the installation just fails. But here is an error that I caught from windows update when I was trying to check for updates; the error code is 8024000E; it says that it is an unknown error.
Do you have any suggestions? Thank you

Hi,
You can try to boot into the clean boot mode to check what the result is:
to perform a clean boot to troubleshoot a problem in Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
if this cannot help, I suggest you run the SFC command to see if you can discovery any corrupted files:
Use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista or on Windows 7
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833
for the windows update issue, please reset the windows update components for a test:
