We have an application that was written for Windows XP; it was installed on Windows 7 and is very unstable. The applications use DDE to link the applications running on the same pc that together move a TCP/IP packet into it's component parts. What was the replacement for the DDE Agent?

According to the information posted by Microsoft @ http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa365778%28v=vs.85%29.aspx there is no replacement for DDE.

I am not doing programming of any kind any more.

I would suggest looking at one of the MSDN forums for an answer to that.
