Hi,
First, please double check whether the printer works as expected with other programs, such as Microsoft Word, or another graphic processing application. If they are working fine, then please tell us what changes are made since the last time you printed the password. Based on the situation, It seems that your user account does not have sufficient permission when trying to start certain services.
In addition, here are some work around:
a. capture a screenshot of the password and print it out.
1. Press PrintScreen (PrScrn) to capture a screenshot.
2. From Start, click Run, enter MSPAINT in the Open box, and then click "OK".
3. Use Ctrl + V to paste the screen shot to the canvas.
4. From the File menu, go to Save and save as a JPG file on the Desktop.b. For the Home group instructions, you can refer to the following:

That workaround will work, but I had the same problem and just found out that it was because I use Firefox and it is my default web browser. If you change the default to Internet Explorer (Tools/Internet Options/Programs, then click the Make Default button), the "Print this Page" button on the Homegroup password page works fine.
Note: Once you have your printout, change your default browser back to Firefox. In FF, click Tools/Options/Advanced and click the "Check Now" button. When FF asks, click the Yes button to change the default back to FF.
